Snap-Elastic

Dussskk is a highly interactive, sensory performance for disabled and neurodivergent teenagers and their companions. Featuring singing, costumes and dancing, Dussskk is performed in an immersive environment where the five performers take the audience on a journey through the night, from dusk until sunrise.

The show is relaxed, and audience members can move around, come and go, as much as they want.

Developed with support from the students at Calaiswood School (Dunfermline), Kaimes School (Edinburgh) and Hollybrook Academy (Glasgow), the show has been made specifically with and for young people who enjoy sound.

Presented in association with Mahogany Opera, and produced by Isy Sharman, Dussskk has received support from Creative Scotland, the Jerwood New Work Fund, the Hugh Fraser Foundation and Capital Theatres Trust. Dussskk has previously been developed through a Jerwood Fellowship with Oily Cart and Imaginate, and with support from Unity Theatre Trust, Youth Arts Initiative and The Work Room.
